Product ethics means knowing where a stone comes from, verifying what it is, and ensuring that every partner involved in its journey works to the same responsible standards.
Alongside Elevating People and Caring for Nature, product ethics is part of the group's purpose of Spreading Happiness. It brings together three practices embedded across the manufacture: provenance and traceability, in-house naturality verification, and responsible sourcing.
Each step is documented and dated. Where independent bodies are involved, verification is carried out externally, ensuring consistency from rough stone to finished piece.

Activity · 01
Every diamond is recorded in the group's ERP system, with traceability maintained from rough stone to polished gem. Origin traceability continues to improve year by year, while the process is being progressively digitalised across the group.

Before entering inventory, every stone undergoes in-house naturality verification. Certified gemmologists screen 100% of stones using established gemmological methods and advanced instrumentation.
Three laboratories operate under NIRU supervision: Bangkok for colored stones, and Sri Lanka and Israel for diamonds. Screening is carried out in-house, ensuring consistency throughout the verification process.
Verification is performed by certified gemmologists whose qualifications are maintained through continuous professional development, including GGTL recertification every two years.
Diamonds and colored stones are screened using advanced gemmological instrumentation, selected to meet the requirements of each material.
100% screened in NIRU laboratories, using the De Beers AMS Micro and instruments tested in the Assure Programme.

Diamonds and colored stones are sourced through suppliers who meet defined ethical and operational standards. A growing share is purchased directly from mining companies and from Responsible Jewellery Council-certified partners, while all suppliers commit to the group's Supplier Code of Conduct.

In its own laboratories, NIRU identifies the species and variety of each stone, detects treatments where present, and discloses the findings. Every stone is represented according to its verified characteristics.
